Marcey Gregory was born in 1961 in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Wichita High School North in 1979 and currently has 65 hours at Wichita State University. Marcey married Gary Gregory in 1981 and they have two sons, Steven, 20, and Stacy, 15.

Marcey has been a co-owner of First Gear, Inc. since 1988. She also has worked as a fitness instructor for Health Strategies at Wesley Medical Center and taught at Cessna's Employee Fitness Center.

After moving to Goddard in 1996, Marcey quickly became active in the community. She is a member of the Goddard Lions Club, the Goddard Women's Club, and a board member of the Goddard Chamber of Commerce. She spent two years on the Goddard Planning Commission before being elected Mayor of Goddard in April 2007.

Since becoming Mayor, Marcey has strengthened safety and emergency services in the community. She has overseen the design processes for capital improvement projects such as a $6.5 million wastewater treatment plant. She has also been actively involved in assisting with the "Rails to Trails" linear park recreation trail. All of this has been done while maintaining the lowest mil levy of any community in western Sedgwick County.
