My priorities as a candidate for the Sedgwick County Commission, District 3 include:

Property Tax Relief
Taxpayers can't afford to allow our county government to continue big spending. I am deeply concerned by my opponent's track record of repeatedly voting for property tax increases. I will work to find ways to ease this tax burden.

Government Efficiency
I believe that government can and should be run like a business, eliminating excessive spending and raising taxes as a last resort. My husband and I have created a successful business by being efficient in spending as well as offering exceptional service. Taxpayers also deserve excellent service from their elected officials. They deserve someone who will be accessible, listen to their constituents, and work to find the best possible solution for any problems. My opponent has demonstrated a lack of judgment in this area, particularly with his vote to charge cities for housing inmates at the Sedgwick County jail, and also his ignoring the parking problems surrounding the new downtown arena.

Leadership
As Mayor of Goddard, I have worked hard to bring people together to find ways to enhance and enrich our community. I feel confident that I can bring a fresh approach and progressive thinking to many of the problems that we are facing in Sedgwick County.
